The Navasota Lodge started as a conversation between friends. It was 2021 Bryan Lodge Exalted Ruler Larry Baughman talking to 2021 state president Mike Callahan, sitting at a table at the Texas Elks State Convention.

Larry asked Mike about bringing a lodge to Navasota. The idea was discussed and sparked between the two but was put aside for the time being. One month later, at the Elks National Convention in Tampa, Mike approached Larry and said, "Let's do it!"

The first meeting was in October of 2021.

Our first public outing was "Treats on the Streets" in Downtown Navasota.

Our first ramp project, library program, and Easter Egg Hunt followed suit, culminating with a table at the 2022 Elks Homecoming!

On March 25, 2023, 20 months after this idea was first introduced, Navasota Lodge #2888 was instituted.

On September XX, 2024, we purchased our current Lodge and after an extensive renovation, we opened August XX, of 2025.

We hosted our Dedication and Grand Opening on February 7, 2026.
