Special Needs

Texas Elks Camp provides children with special needs and children in foster care an opportunity to try new things, meet new friends and make memories that will last a lifetime.

Our State Major Project is devoted to our Texas children in need. It benefits the Texas Elks Camp, located in Ottine, Texas. Children with any special needs can apply to attend our Elks Children’s Camp every summer for a week of fun activities and a field trip to Sea World. This is at no cost to the kids and is 100% funded by the Texas Elks. Elks also provide hundreds of thousands of dollars in grant funding to Texas children with special needs that are not covered under medical insurance.  All grants applications need to be submitted to the local Lodge to be voted on by the members and approved for final processing.
